Archery Olympics

Today we got up and went to breakfast before heading to the Lord’s Cricket Ground for the Archery Olympics. We got there early because we weren’t sure how hard it was going to be to travel on the tube. There was a nice little park across from the grounds so we decided to go in there and walk around a bit. It was cool seeing the grounds from far away. It was getting close to starting so we got in line and looked at the souvenirs. We got some food and made our way to our seats. They were right in the middle upper part! It was so cool to see the field. It was hard to see the targets but there were big screens to show up close on the targets. The best part was when the Great Britain guy came out. The crowd went wild!! It was really cool! It got even better because he won!!! He came out again later and won again! Everyone in the crowd was going nuts! We saw loads of competitions and we would pick who we were rooting for each time. When it was finished we took our time leaving and good thing we did. The British Archer who won his events-Larry Godfrey. Heavens went over and got a picture with him and got his autograph on her ticket!! That’s two Olympic stars she has gotten pictures and autographs with! So cool! We had lots of fun and really enjoyed ourselves.
